Matt Richmond is a passionate wilderness and wildlife photographer dividing his time between the rugged landscapes of Vancouver, British Columbia and the sweeping prairies of Regina, Saskatchewan. His distinctive photographic style has been shaped by years working in the film industry, where he developed a keen eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling that now defines his photographic work.
His background in film production provided Matt with a unique foundation in understanding how light, shadow, and framing can transform an ordinary scene into something extraordinary. In the coastal rainforests and mountains of the west, I seek to capture the interplay of light filtering through mist and foliage. On the prairies, I'm drawn to the drama of vast skies and the intimate moments of wildlife against expansive horizons.
